* AWESOME! - Gateway girls again dominated the Post-Dispatch All Metro teams.

2010 All-Metro Gateway Players
Gateway Field Hockey players dominated the St. Louis Post Dispatch's 2010 All-Metro Field Hockey team. 23 of 34 players named for the top three teams have played for Gateway, with 8 of 12 from the All-Metro first team. Highlighting the selections was Charlotte Martin, a junior at state champion John Burroughs, who was named as the Player of the Year. Martin, a longtime Gateway player, led the area in scoring with 38 goals and 21 assists. A first team All-Metro choice as a sophomore, Martin was also recently named All-Region by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association

Gateway Field Hockey annually provides schoalrships to participants of the Gateway programs through its camps, leagues, or clubs. This year Kelly and her staff selected four worthy receipients and made the annoucement of their selection at the team's Thanksgiving Banquet at the National Hockey Festival in Phoenix, AZ.

GATEWAY FIELD HOCKEY - A FAMILY AFFAIR
Gateway teams dominate in Windy City Pre-Festival Tournament (16-1-3)
November 17th, 2010 -- The Gateway Field Hockey Club teams traveled to Chicago this weekend to participate in the annual Pre-Festival Tournament hosted by the Windy City Field Hockey Club. Eighteen teams from Chicago, St. Louis, Louisville, and Milwaukee participated in three separate pools. Gateway brought four teams to the Windy City Pre-Festival Tournament including St. Louis U-19, St. Louis U-16, St. Louis U-14, and Gateway Midwest.
Gateway Field Hockey Club finished the weekend with 16 wins, 3 ties, and 1 loss (which came from an inter-club match). Over the entire weekend the Gateway teams scored a combined 51 goals and only allowed 6 goals! Outstanding goalkeeping performances from Freshman Brooke Withington, Sophomore Liz Rill, Junior Bea Dageforde, Junior Josie Mullen, and Senior Carolyne Griffin. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GATEWAY GIRLS that participated in the Windy City Pre-Festival Tournament.

Over the entire weekend the Gateway teams scored a combined 51 goals and only allowed 6 goals! Outstanding goalkeeping performances from Freshman Brooke Withington, Sophomore Liz Rill, Junior Bea Dageforde, Junior Josie Mullen, and Senior Carolyne Griffin. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GATEWAY GIRLS that participated in the Windy City Pre-Festival Tournament.
