Field Hockey Legacy
History
The Gateway Field Hockey Camps originated in St. Louis in 1985 and have expanded to 14 cities through the years.
We were the first to introduce field hockey to St. Louis. And we are the first and longest running club in the Midwest.
Almost 300 players who have participated for TEAM GATEWAY have gone on to play field hockey in college.
Gateway Field Hockey offers premier camps in Midwest cities, with a staff of international coaches. Gateway Field Hockey is the most elite club team in St. Louis. Gateway Field Hockey offers recreational leagues for all ages. Gateway Field Hockey sponsors two tournaments (Gateway Classic-Labor Day Weekend and Firecracker-July 2 and 3).
TEAM GATEWAY FIELD HOCKEY has three teams “grandfathered” to participate in the National Hockey Festival, due to its longevity of participation at the Festival through the years. We also participate in the lottery (which started in 2005) to field additional teams, and had two additional teams in 2009 and one additional team this year. We have four teams competing in the 2011 Disney Showcase for U-16 and U-19.

Gateway has an exceptional list of past players who continued their field hockey career to collegiate level. We take pride in helping our athletes become successful field hockey players.
