Gateway Camps and League Objectives

The Gateway Field Hockey Camps originated in St. Louis in 1988 and have expanded to 10 cities through the years. The camps are designed to teach beginner players the basic skills of field hockey, to improve player skill
development and to teach the advanced player strategies, positional play, and advanced skills and tactics. Skill techniques, game play and fun activities are built into the 15 hour camps. The camps and leagues are now open to boys and girls starting in 3rd grade through the 12th. The camps and leagues are divided into grade levels and player skill levels. All sites have a challenging curriculum for varsity players and individual instruction for goalkeepers.

All Gateway Camps are SANCTIONED by the NFHCA, the USFHA and high school federation rules. Gateway Camps are a USFHA / Partner camps which allows players to be selected to the USFHA Futures Elite Program.

Summer Camp Registration has started. Grades
3-12 in all cities.
