2008 Disney Field Hockey
Showcase
Six Gateway Club Teams (2 in each age division) participated in the 2008 Disney Field Hockey Showcase on Feb. 8-9-10 at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. Gateway's U-19 RED team ended 5th out of 48 teams in its division.

Comments from Kelly Yates on Gateway's play at the Showcase:
"I'm really proud of the the U-19 and U-16 teams for their finishes. Gateway's U-19 RED team ended 3rd out of 44 teams in its division. Both were in a difficult bracket with some very respectable teams and they made an excellent showing."
"I thought the U-14 teams had a good showing, especially since the team was made up primarily of 5th-8th graders. What an improvement they made during the course of the Showcase."
"The Disney Showcase was an excellent event, well attended by college coaches, and I'm so appreciative of the players and parents who made the trip to Orlando to represent Gateway Field Hockey. No doubt we'll be taking teams to the 2009 Showcase."
